H5828VT3 Brand
115-Day Maturity
Adapted Zone(s): 7,8,9
28-36,000 Planting Population

Grain Features: This is truly a strong grain product in the full-season market. Compared to others of similar maturities, it can boast impressive yield potential and much-improved agronomics, including very good stalk and root quality and very good grain quality.
Strengths: With exceptional versatility in this product, you don't have to limit it to specific soil types or crop rotations. Very good stalk and root quality allow adequate time for field drydown and late harvest options. You'll see early flowering for this maturity and a fast grain set, but you're best to plant this number in regions that can really leverage full season products. Strong drought stress tolerance should allow for use even on moderately productive soils.
Management Tips: The lack of ear flex in this plant may require moderate to higher planting populations even in more stressful environments. Very good late season staygreen and plant intactness are helped by a good foliar disease resistance package. In environments and crop rotations with heavy disease pressure, monitor for the need of fungicide applications.
Silage Features: Not recommended for silage
